Which is what I am after spending 4 hours of nonstop listening to write that song on Sibelius. I know you could find the original sheet music somewhere online for free but I was also doing percussion arrangements so I was adding some stuff too. For the percussion ensemble Brandon and I are starting one of the songs we thought about doing was Still Alive from portal since I allready knew the melody. Seeing as were doing other songs (luigi's mansion, kingdom hearts ect) I knew i'd need some sort of music composing program so I could not only write out individual parts but hear what they sound like. So I downloaded a 30day trial of Sibelius. Im getting my 30 days worth.
Thats what I did all day. I figured out the program by putting in Luigi's mansion, and I get use to the program by putting in Still Alive. There are mm, about five parts. Upper Marimba, Lower Marimba, Vibraphone, Tambourine and Drum Set. I will admit the drum set part is lame but I have an excuse, we dont know whose going to be in the percussion ensemble so I figure if a bad set player shows up it will be easy for them and if a good set player shows up they can spice it up.

Anyway, if your interested in joining a percussion ensemble that will be playing some video game music and what ever else we feel like playing then come let me know. Were thinking we'd practice atleast on mondays after school until 3:30 but since we havent officially set it up yet its just an idea. You dont have to play percussion either, if you cant read music we'll find something for you. If you can thats a bonus. If you play piano your wanted. Again we dont exactly have what music were doing yet but we know some video game, maybe some nightmare before christmas, and definitely other percussion ensemble stuff.

Well im really tired and I didnt do anything today except write music so I have homework and practicing to do tomorrow.
